Prof. St. Sinatov, D.Sc.
holds M.Sc., PhD and D.Sc. degrees in Power Engineering from the Saint Petersburg Military Technical University and has 45+ years experience in teaching the under- and postgraduates, development and design of advanced power generation processes, environmental protection technologies, renewable and hybrid energy converters, as well as in feasibility, basic design and construction of modern CC, CHP and trigeneration plants and systems. He is the author and co-author of 46 papers in technical journals, 4 textbooks, and 53 patents in the fields mentioned above. Presently, he takes charge of R&D in several fields, like advanced REPOLYGEN technology, alternative hybrid fuel cell-reciprocating engine systems, and rational use of low-temperature heat in power generation processes. Prof. St. Sinatov is also an experienced speaker at the international conferences and congresses (Power Gen, CIMAC, GWC, ASME, etc). He is a widely recognized specialist in providing expertise on all energy related issues, rendering his services for the Israeli Ministry of Industry and Trade, DG of the EC for RTD, Belgian Electrabel utility, Greek Ministry of Education, Lifelong Learning and Religious Affairs, EUREKA Secretariat, and many other governmental and international organizations and private companies. He is the Founder and CEO of the MEEC Group and its R&D Department NEWPOLYGEN.
Gr. Pipko, PhD
is an internationally recognized expert in applied chemistry with over 35 years experience in inorganic chemistry, heterogeneous catalysis and catalysts synthesis, ion exchange, conversion of methane, heat and mass transfer into porous bodies, synthesis of phosphates, fire resistant and ablative materials, development of slow release fertilizers and conductive ceramics, etc. He has employed his knowledge and skills in collaboration with education and research organizations, private start-up companies and large chemical plants in the former Soviet Union and Israel. He is the author of over 30 papers in scientific and technical journals, holds 48 registered patents and has participated in numerous international conferences. Currently, he is the scientific head of a number of R&D projects being developed in the Israeli Technology Incubators. Within the framework of cooperation with the MEEC Group and its R&D department NEWPOLYGEN Dr. Pipko takes charge of R&D in the field of advanced multi-pollutant control technologies, intended for a drastic reduction of SO2 and NOx emissions in the exhaust of power and WTE plants, as well as BIOPOLYGEN technology, intended for biomass residues conversion into second generation bioethanol and valuable by-products. He is founder of his own independent research firm (Pipko & Co.) and Chief Applied Chemistry Officer of the NEWPOLYGEN department.
